From 1st August 2007 we have been providing a HIP creation service to our clients - this service cannot be 'free' as many providers are rather disingenuosly suggesting.
We operate a no hidden fees policy - the prices quoted include all compulsory elements of a Home Information Pack and also include VAT.
If we are instructed to undertake the conveyancing work the cost of the pack will be deferred until the point of sale.
In any event, from the 1st August when the scheme goes "live" for four bedroom properties the pack will cost £299 + VAT for freehold properties up to a value of £750,000 (to include full official searches). For leasehold properties and those above £750,000 please contact us for a more detailed costing.
It's important to note that costs will probably be cheaper if you buy a HIP from us in conjunction with our undertaking your conveyancing work. Why? Because the legal part of the HIP (i.e. everything other than the energy certificate) is what we would do as a solicitor anyway !
